About The Artwork
expand_more
The last warm rays of the sun, walking through the meadows and forests. A gathering of friends, taking a break together and enjoying a good whiskey. A weekend away in the countryside, staying in a beautiful village. We couldn't have wished for better times.
I like to use warm, earthy tones, contrasting sharply with the clear blue sky, to evoke a sense of nostalgia and tranquility. The detailing of the clothing and green surroundings enhances this feeling of nostalgia. I try to blend narrative and realism, inviting viewers into a moment of shared simplicity and companionship.

Fair & Free Shipping
We provide fair shipping for all orders under $500. What’s that mean? When most online retailers provide “free” shipping, they’re actually marking up prices to cover the shipping charge. This often costs you more! We don’t do that. Instead, we charge you exactly what it costs to ship your purchase to you. For all orders over $500, we’re happy to provide free shipping.
Processing & Delivery
Please allow 7-10 business days for your order to be processed and prepared for shipping. Note that delivery times vary depending on where your artwork is shipped from. You can see an approximate delivery range after you input shipping information at checkout. We’ll provide you with tracking info and an estimated delivery date after your order ships.
Returns
We want you to be 100% satisfied with your new artwork. That’s why we give you 14 days from the date you receive your artwork to let us know if it’s not the right fit for you. Contact us during that timeframe, and we’ll get started on your hassle-free return. Review our full Return Policy here.

About the artist

I am fascinated by people – why we choose to gather, what food we share, which outfits we enjoy. I simply observe, and my observations can fit any period. The spontaneity of such occasions intrigue me, as individuals dress up, place a bottle of their favourite wine on the table, and effortlessly start to talk. I watch. I stare. I also wonder about events before and after the moment I have caught on canvas. Because the image itself is only the start of a longer conversation. That is why I prefer real contact with my subjects, whether they are strangers or my friends. People may have come together on impulse, or the tableau may be staged. Once the group is together, the occasion generates its own unique discussions, expressions, atmosphere, authenticity. Even when lodged in our history, it will resonate today.
I love history and especially enjoy artists like Lovis Corinth, Gustave Courbet and Paula Rego. When I am not painting I like watching movies. Often during painting I will play a movie in the background for inspiration.
