About The Artwork
expand_more
Series No. 7 – Bee Keeper by Steve Moors is a 36 x 36-inch digital artwork printed on museum-grade paper and mounted behind acrylic glass, combining striking visual storytelling with refined contemporary presentation. The scene captures a group of swimsuit-clad figures standing casually on a washed-out beach while one figure takes aim with a rifle. A small, surreal figure in a full orange beekeeper suit stands apart, its pixelated head adding an unsettling, dreamlike touch. The soft pastel hues and brushed overlays of pink contrast with the tension of the moment, suggesting themes of innocence, danger, and detachment. This work invites collectors to engage with questions of play, threat, and memory, offering a haunting yet strangely nostalgic image that lingers in the mind long after viewing.

About the artist

Through my work I strive to bring together the multifaceted aspects of life experience as ingredients for a fresh and exploratory world view. It is an attempt to present these phenomena in a visual language that is focused enough to address the issue at hand, yet broad enough to transfer coherent concepts without being colloquially or culturally exclusive. In essence, I see them as contemporary visual sutras, to be pondered, absorbed, and considered. The various facets of an image are in essence seeds which are planted upon viewing, then integrate with the viewer's sense of self, stimulating and provoking a broader mindset.
