About The Artwork
expand_more
Mount Melon by David Gilliver transforms a slice of summer fruit into a surreal adventure. This limited edition photographic print on Olmec Matte Photo Paper (230gsm) depicts miniature hikers traversing the jagged peaks of a watermelon, complete with a playful palm tree accent. With vivid color contrasts of deep reds, fresh greens, and bright blue sky, the piece evokes both humor and wonder. The work captures Gilliver’s signature blend of scale manipulation and storytelling, reminding viewers that even ordinary objects can hold extraordinary worlds. Collectors will appreciate the technical precision, lighthearted symbolism, and imaginative atmosphere that make this artwork a conversation starter in any collection.

Fair & Free Shipping
We provide fair shipping for all orders under $500. What’s that mean? When most online retailers provide “free” shipping, they’re actually marking up prices to cover the shipping charge. This often costs you more! We don’t do that. Instead, we charge you exactly what it costs to ship your purchase to you. For all orders over $500, we’re happy to provide free shipping.
Processing & Delivery
Please allow 7-10 business days for your order to be processed and prepared for shipping. Note that delivery times vary depending on where your artwork is shipped from. You can see an approximate delivery range after you input shipping information at checkout. We’ll provide you with tracking info and an estimated delivery date after your order ships.
Returns
We want you to be 100% satisfied with your new artwork. That’s why we give you 14 days from the date you receive your artwork to let us know if it’s not the right fit for you. Contact us during that timeframe, and we’ll get started on your hassle-free return. Review our full Return Policy here.

About the artist

I graduated from the Fine Art Photography (BA Hons) course at the Glasgow School of Art in 2001 and have been working hard to establish myself as a respected professional photographer and artist ever since. I specialise in long-exposure photography (the art of ‘Light Painting’) as well as macro photography (my ‘Little People’ and Toy series).
As well as regularly exhibiting my Artwork here in the UK, I also run regular creative photography Workshops. If you are ever keen on joining me on one of my Workshops do please feel free to check out this section of my website. I try to run at least 1 or 2 group Workshops each month, and I also receive regular bookings from secondary schools across the UK.
I also regularly work on bespoke commissions for clients all over the World. If you have an idea that you feel could benefit from my knowledge in Light Painting or Macro Photography I’d love to hear from you.
