Charlotte Aiken’s Luminance (2021) is a limited edition print that captures the ethereal beauty of a fleeting sky. Inspired by cloudscapes, the work explores how light filters through layers of atmosphere, shifting and dissolving in delicate transitions of tone. The composition is built through soft, painterly layers that evoke the weightless texture of clouds, while subtle golden accents illuminate the surface with a sense of radiance. Aiken’s use of fluid forms and glowing hues invites the viewer to pause and reflect on the quiet splendor of light as it emerges through drifting skies.
