Laguna by Jessus Hernandez is a radiant interplay of urban precision and coastal rhythm. Completed in 2018, this original work fuses bold color blocking with fluid architectural forms that echo the vibrant pulse of a cityscape near water. Drawing on the energy of Southern California’s urban and natural landscapes, Hernandez uses acrylic, aerosol, and gesso on wood to construct a world that is both structured and spontaneous.

With its sweeping curves, vivid angles, and vibrant palettes—turquoise, canary yellow, crimson, and jade—Laguna invites viewers into a dynamic visual experience that feels both futuristic and rooted in the present. The composition flows like tides through a geometric city, celebrating both movement and place with striking clarity.
