About The Artwork
expand_more
Glory Edition 4 is a commanding visual tribute to the strength and defiance of Ukraine’s defenders. Painted by Anastasia Mykolayska Shutka on a recycled skateboard deck, this original piece depicts a Ukrainian soldier with a calm yet determined expression, framed by chains and traditional maces—symbols of resilience and historical resistance.
Above the soldier's helmet, the Ukrainian trident insignia stands proudly. Below, a sunflower encircles a skull, symbolizing both life and death, rebirth and sacrifice. The Cyrillic text spells out “Смерть ворогам” (“Death to the enemies”), evoking a battle cry that carries generations of struggle for independence and identity. With its stark contrasts and emotionally charged iconography, Glory Edition 4 seamlessly merges folk motifs, military symbolism, and modern resistance art into one striking narrative.
This piece is a statement of cultural pride, sacrifice, and unwavering strength—ideal for collectors of political, patriotic, and street-inspired art.

About the artist

Anastasia Mykolayska Shutka is a London-born Ukrainian artist whose art focuses on Ukrainian culture and history. This theme emerged when Anastasia realized that having been raised in the UK, she did not feel as connected to her culture as she would have liked. Consequently, she took the initiative to research Ukraine's traditions and language, which began to influence her art.Growing up, Shutka was exposed to embroidery, model-making, and various other artistic practices that she enjoyed exploring. This led to a multidisciplinary approach to creation. Her work now encompasses painting and the use of laser cutters to produce 3D embroidered elements, drawing inspiration from folk and embroidery traditions. Her art is centered around Ukraine. It celebrates Ukrainians and explores Ukraine's independent and true identity.
