'Flower Study I' is from a new series of images entitled 'Fauna'. With Lindsay's long standing experience in studio work he relishes in experimenting with lighting techniques, and in desiring to bring his Fine Art Photography into the realm of the studio. The diversity in photography and how it is employed has always been his inspiration. Learning early on in his career that the basic techniques used in photography don't change, and that those skills can be utilised for all subjects. However, the most important factor is having the eyes to see … to enable other's to see the latent art within his images. Always looking for new subjects to engage in, these studies in fauna are remarkable in that they are created and captured purely with creative studio lighting. Traditional 'dodging and burning' darkroom techniques are only then employed to produce and 'enhance' the final prints. Lindsay's ethos is in upholding the basic principles of traditional photography. Using a combination of film and digital equipment, he firmly believes in 'wet printing' and prefers the look and feel of traditional prints whether C-type or silver gelatin prints. Each fine art hand made print is a signed original chromogenic photographic print (traditional C-type print - not inkjet). The image size is 18" x 14" printed onto 20"x 16" paper, the signature is placed bottom right within the white border.
Included is a certificate of authenticity.
