About The Artwork
expand_more
"The Blue Screwdriver" is a bold and imaginative acrylic on canvas that balances elegance, symbolism, and playful abstraction. A woman, poised in a vibrant patterned dress, reclines in a deep crimson chair, holding a glass with quiet authority. At her side, a small table with a blue-handled screwdriver rests, infusing the scene with intrigue and humor.
Achamallah’s composition draws on cubist and expressionist influences, where sharp black outlines and dynamic color blocks create a sense of rhythm and structure. The contrast between the sitter’s composed elegance and the unexpected everyday object invites viewers to reflect on the intersection of refinement and practicality, fantasy and reality. Rich with color and layered meaning, this work speaks to both the power of presence and the subtle narrative details that give a painting its individuality.
