ABOUT THE ARTIST
Manuel was born in Seville, Spain, and grew up amidst the multicultural tapestry of Brussels. His artistic journey began after completing his university studies in Amsterdam, where he initially ventured into independent graphic design. However, the corporate world soon beckoned, and while he found success in this sphere, his creative impulses continued to simmer beneath the surface, emerging
sporadically throughout his managerial career.
After a successful 23-year tenure with HP Inc. (formerly Hewlett-Packard), Manuel transitioned from his executive role in the IT sector to pursue his passion as a full-time digital artist. His
background in graphic design and extensive corporate experience provided him with a profound mastery of digital tools. Manuel discovered that digital technology not only enhanced his ability to create with speed and precision but also opened new and exciting avenues for artistic expression. For him, the screen is a canvas, the stylus a brush, and the laptop a studio where his ideas come to life.
Manuel's creative process is deeply analytical and reflective, exploring a broad spectrum of digital techniques while delving into personal and societal themes with a curious and non-judgmental perspective. His work is often allegorical, with layers of meaning
intricately woven into compositions that appear harmonious and perfect at first glance. Whether figurative or semi-abstract, his pieces invite viewers to look beyond the surface, engaging with the complex narratives embedded within.
His artistry has been showcased in several notable exhibitions, including the Henley Arts Festival in Henley-on-Thames, UK
(2018), the Herrick Gallery in London (2018), and most recently, The Holy Art collective exhibition at the OXO Tower in London (2023). As he continues to push the boundaries of digital art, Manuel remains committed to creating works that resonate with both heart and mind, driven by his belief that art’s true purpose is to inspire and move others.
