The “Mythological Stardoms” series explores the current idolatry of celebrities and projects into a mythical future the question of how our contemporary might be remembered and portraited. I chose movie actors or pop singers dear to me in a fashion reminiscent of their character in movies and songs Each personage is built out of different Greek and Roman statue parts to create a full body. Textures and backgrounds are borrowed from several other painters.
